Front Garden with Curb Appeal – Kinver
The brief for us here was to conceive a front garden with real curb appeal. We worked closely with both the client and appointed interior designer to create a space that would complement and enhance the newly remodelled house and interior – to provide the ‘wow’ factor that the property now deserved.
We used the striking colour of the Corten steel porcelain to create a feature wall and clad the raised planting beds in the same material. This unified the space and also created a superb backdrop to the specimen cloud topiary tree, used as a centrepiece here. As contrast, dark grey porcelain tiles formed the entrance, steps and small terrace. A lighting plan was incorporated to show level changes and to illuminate the planting and the feature wall.
The planting was carefully chosen in collaboration with Lupin Gardening Ltd, to give four season interest, with spots of purple and orange tones to add another layer of colour and texture. Even the boundaries were given a special treatment of slatted trellis in cedar and soft grey.
This project demonstrated the success of collaborative working, which created a garden that is much remarked upon and also one that the clients loved!
